CLIMBING HUT IN THE COMMUNITY
At Climbing Hut we believe climbing can change more than your grip strength, it can change lives. From fundraising for Climbers Against Cancer to partnering with schools and local businesses, supporting GB squad athletes, and hosting welcoming instructor led socials, we’re proud to be a force for good across Shrewsbury and Shropshire.

SUPPORTING CLIMBERS AGAINST CANCER
Climbing brings people together, and our competitions turn that energy into tangible support for Climbers Against Cancer (CAC). By entering, climbers directly contribute to cancer research and support, while enjoying a brilliant day on the wall. We handle the logistics; you bring the psyche.
WHO WE SUPPORT
Take a look at some of the schools, organisations, and charities we support in the local area and how we've helped them.

CHAMPIONING LOCAL ATHLETES
Shrewsbury has serious talent. We support and champion local athletes that show potential in their climbing with a variety of sponsorship opportunities. Many of our sponsored athletes compete for GB teams, youth development squads, as well as at international competitions, including para-climbing circuits.
INSTRUCTOR LED SOCIALS
Community starts on the wall. Our weekly socials are relaxed, instructor-led sessions where newcomers and regulars climb together, swap beta, and build confidence.

Who it’s for: Everyone—first-timers to seasoned climbers

TEACHING THE NEXT GENERATION
We're active with local schools in the area to give pupils a hands-on introduction to movement, resilience, and trust. With qualified instructors, clear learning outcomes, and options to align with PE, wellbeing, and enrichment programmes, students leave buzzing—with skills that carry into the classroom.

INCLUSIVE, WELCOMING, AND ACCESSIBLE
Impact only matters if everyone can take part. We work to make climbing approachable with beginner-friendly routes, supportive instructors, and clear info for visitors. If you have access needs, let us know—we’ll do our best to make adjustments so you can enjoy the wall comfortably.
