Helping Young Climbers Reach New Heights
Our Mountain Goats Induction at Climbing Hut Ellesmere Port is designed for sure-footed climbers aged 7–10 years. This session allows young climbers to progress into the Main Area of Boulder Hut, rather than being limited to the Boulder Zoo, giving them access to taller walls and more challenging routes.
The induction provides a safe and structured way for children to build confidence and learn the skills needed for climbing on our bigger walls.
What to Expect
The Mountain Goats Induction is a one-hour session led by one of our friendly instructors, who will guide children through:
Extra safety precautions for climbing on taller walls
Rules and guidelines to ensure safe climbing
Techniques and tips to navigate more challenging routes
At the end of the session, children will receive a special silicon wristband so that staff can easily identify our Mountain Goats while they climb.
